Claims Support Specialist

Location: Johnstown, PA (On-Site)

Pay: $15.00–$16.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Overview

We are seeking a Claims Support Specialist to join a growing insurance organization in Johnstown, PA. This is a great opportunity for entry-level candidates looking to build a career in customer service, claims support, and insurance operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders, claimants, agents, and internal teams.
• Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
• Enter and update claims information in company systems.
• Assist with claim file documentation and follow-up activities.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail, filing, copying, scanning, and other administrative tasks.
• Greet and assist visitors.
• Support claims teams with routine administrative and customer service functions.
• Coordinate meetings and order office supplies as needed.
• Assist during weather-related claim events and other special support activities.

Qualifications

• Open to entry-level candidates.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with phone-based customer interactions.
• Willingness to learn new processes and grow within the company.
• Basic computer and administrative skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.
