Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will provide perioperative care across various surgical specialties, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and scrub for a wide range of surgeries including General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to facilitate smooth operations.
• Manage patient monitoring, anesthesia coordination, and surgical instrument handling throughout procedures.
• Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, medications, and patient information in the electronic health record system.
• Respond swiftly to intraoperative emergencies and assist in patient stabilization as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of OR nursing experience; first-timers considered.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Valid RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact State.
• Proven experience in circulating and scrub nursing within an OR setting.
• Knowledge of Epic, Pyxis, and DaVinci Xi Robotics systems preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment with a typical census of 35 patients daily.
