Additional Job Description WVUHS Medical Group seeks a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, WV. Practice medicine for the right reasons, with the right people. Ripley, WV is a small, progressive city located in the beautiful Appalachian foothills of the Ohio River. The city is the seat of Jackson County and is surrounded by a pristine valley rich in natural wonders and beauty. The Jackson General Hospital Emergency Department provides acute care services for patients of all ages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. With a Level IV trauma center, adult and pediatric patients are seen for any cardiac, respiratory, trauma, or general medicine issues. Our goal is to deliver quick, effective diagnosis and treatment or transport for all patients. Qualifications Applicants must have a MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Applicants must have completed an Emergency Medicine residency and/or a fellowship and be eligible for the American Board of Medical Specialties. Emergency Medicine Board Certification is required. All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.
