Apply today to speak with a Recruiter about the position and perks of joining our Ryder Ever Better Team. $48k‑50k yearly salary + benefits and PTO Location: GM Facility in Warren, MI Schedule: 6am - 3pm Monday - Friday Work in a fast‑paced environment while communicating with various teams and departments; Experience tracking parts and materials is a plus Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits start at 30 Days 401(k) Savings Plan with company match Discounted employee stock purchase options Employee discounts on tools, cars, appliances, travel and more All major holidays paid and PTO in first year Up to 12 weeks paid maternity leave Summary Position does not manage WHSE or Driver team members* Essential Functions Follow‑up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on‑time delivery performance to support production requirements Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers; provide direction on ship schedule requirements and containment plans when behind schedule, including decision making on timing for supplier schedules Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to prevent interruptions or downtime to the manufacturing line, including decision making on mode and required delivery window to maintain continuity of production Coordinate and/or arrange for alternative sources of material and spot buys if necessary (SPO and other GM Plants) Monitor, set‑up, and cancel truck loads for material pick‑up as needed to support schedule variations, ensuring proper material coverage at lowest possible cost Review part buffers to determine coverage of build requirements, document and manage S and AV code exceptions, maintain alarm intervals; determine root cause and take appropriate action Maintain MGO inventory levels, adjust as necessary, and investigate/process any record adjustment requests from the previous shift Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Build professional relationships within all levels of the organization Work independently and as part of a team Operate in a fast‑paced environment with self‑drive Multi‑task, highly organized, with excellent time‑management skills Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Flexible work schedule Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required) Bachelor''s Degree (preferred) 1 year or more of administrative experience (preferred) 1 year or more of relevant experience (preferred) Intermediate knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) (preferred) Intermediate knowledge of transportation management (preferred) Intermediate knowledge of material flow in manufacturing processes (preferred) Travel No Job Category Materials Planning & Scheduling Compensation Information Salaried Minimum: $48,000 Maximum: $50,000 Benefits Information Ryder offers comprehensive health and welfare benefits: medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability insurance options; paid time off for vacation, illness, bereavement, family and parental leave; tax‑advantaged 401(k) retirement savings plan.
