Our four-doctor urgent care hospital bridges the gap between general practice and emergency medicine by treating non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries in dogs and cats. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care while delivering an outstanding client experience.

Conditions We Commonly Treat

  • Vomiting and diarrhea
  • Ear and skin infections
  • Lameness and minor injuries
  • Allergic reactions
  • Wounds and abscesses
  • Urinary concerns
  • Minor surgical procedures
  • In-house diagnostics and imaging

Depending on the veterinarian on duty, we may also see select exotic pets.

What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll be an essential member of our medical team, supporting the doctors and veterinary technicians in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with triage of urgent care patients
  • Obtain patient histories and assist with treatments
  • Assist with IV catheter placement and laboratory sample collection
  • Assist with diagnostics and imaging
  • Assist with anesthesia monitoring and minor surgical procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Provide compassionate patient care and restraint
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding treatment plans and home care
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and technicians to provide high-quality patient care

Schedule

This is a PRN position with a rotating schedule that may include:

  • Weekdays
  • Weekends

What You'll Bring to the Team
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
  • Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
