DevSecOps Engineer - AWS Infrastructure

Salary: $97,000 - 115,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience, including provisioning accounts, instances, and VPCs and configuring network connectivity
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux server infrastructure
• Experience supporting DevSecOps practices, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipelines
• Background in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, or system administration in enterprise environments
• Experience analyzing infrastructure dependencies, environment configurations, and integration requirements
• Experience leading requirements-gathering sessions with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders
• Strong practical analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to satisfy federal contracting requirements, including completing a background check
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; U.S. citizenship is required under the VA contract

• Lead requirements gathering with product teams, QA leads, release management, and infrastructure support stakeholders
• Contribute to AWS solution design, including account structure, sandbox placement, and network connectivity
• Assess and recommend AWS account and infrastructure configurations, including pre-production setups and a PostgreSQL backend on RDS
• Help determine sandbox types and sizing to support the data volumes needed for regression and performance testing
• Define environment test-data needs, including representativeness, volume, and handling restrictions
• Help establish the environments data-refresh schedule and ownership
• Inventory the integrations and external interfaces needed for the environment
• Support integration of the environment with the CI/CD pipeline to automate regression and performance test execution
• Use infrastructure automation practices and DevSecOps principles throughout environment design
• Coordinate with the VA Salesforce governance group on sandbox provisioning and controls, and AWS account structure
• Maintain alignment with VA security and infrastructure standards, DevSecOps best practices, and Change and Release Management standards
