Civil Engineer – Water & Wastewater

Location: Illinois | Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with water and wastewater design experience to support municipal infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design water and sanitary sewer mains, pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities.
Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and project schedules.
Develop and evaluate hydraulic models.
Manage project delivery, construction administration, and field inspections.
Coordinate with municipal clients and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of water/wastewater engineering design experience.
Illinois EIT or PE license preferred.
Experience with hydraulic modeling and municipal systems.
Familiarity with IEPA, IDEM, and MWRD permitting processes preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
