Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 8:00pm. Rotating Saturday & Sunday 9:00am - 5:00pmAs the Pharmacist, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring patients receive safe, timely, and effective medications. You'll oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations-from prescription processing and inventory management to financial performance and team development-while driving Service Excellence across every touchpoint. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to optimize drug therapy, lead support personnel with high operational standards, and champion best practices. You'll also contribute to process improvements, integrate technology, and support safety and quality initiatives-all while delivering exceptional patient outcomes and fostering a culture of professionalism and teamwork.Primary Responsibilities:Prescription Management & Patient Interaction: Reviews and fills prescriptions, explains usage and special instructions to patients, collects fees, and provides counseling per legal requirementsMedication Safety & Clinical Oversight: Verifies prescriptions for accuracy, screens for interactions and duplications, maintains patient medication profiles, and recommends cost-effective therapiesTeam Leadership & Workflow Supervision: Oversees pharmacy staff, reviews work of interns and technicians, provides coaching and training, and ensures efficient patient serviceCompliance, Documentation & Quality Improvement: Manages drug inventory and security, monitors documentation and adverse events, supports student training, and contributes to departmental growth and service excellenceYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Graduate of accredited school of Pharmacy; Pharm D or Bachelor of Science Degree in PharmacyComplete 20 Continuing Education (CE) credits per calendar year as required by Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy and in accordance with Pharmacy Staff License Monitoring and Maintenance of Credentials PolicyCurrently be a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Massachusetts with an active pharmacist license without restrictions from the MA Board of PharmacyMust not be listed on the Exclusion Database List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) maintained by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG)Immunization certifiedAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)Demonstrated working knowledge of pharmacy operations and cash handling experienceAbility and willingness to work a float schedule, with a primary work location in Somerville and coverage responsibilities at Atrius Health pharmacy locations throughout the region, including sites from Kenmore to Chelmsford, based on business needs.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty3+ years of experience in high volume retail pharmacyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
