Assistant Project Manager

Title: Assistant Project Manager (Construction) Company: HorizonWorks LLC Location: Chicago, IL Project Type: Commercial / Residential / Mixed-Use (Developer-led projects) Overview HorizonWorks is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support active construction projects in collaboration with a major developer partner. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a full PM position while gaining hands‑on exposure to project execution, coordination, and field operations. Key Responsibilities Support Project Manager in day‑to‑day project coordination Track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Assist with schedule updates and progress tracking Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and design teams Participate in site walks and field inspections Help identify and track quality issues and corrective actions Maintain organized project records and reporting Qualifications 2–5 years of construction management or related experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred Familiarity with tools like Procore, ACC, or e-Builder is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Willingness to be in the field regularly What We're Looking For Someone developing a construction mindset (not just administrative) Detail‑oriented with ability to follow through Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment #J-18808-Ljbffr HorizonWorks LLC
