The Systems Engineer provides Tier 3 escalation support and serves as the senior technical resource for server, cloud, and Microsoft 365 environments, while also delivering project work migrations, infrastructure buildouts, backup and security implementations, and automation initiatives from design through completion. The right person will be able to anticipate needs, think critically, balance project deliverables against day-to-day escalations, and support a wide variety of tasks with high levels of professionalism, confidentiality, tact, and precision.Location and Work ExpectationsThis position is 100% onsite in our Tampa, FL office.Monday – Friday, approximately 8am – 5pm ESTThis position may have on call needs to cover evening and weekend hours for special projectsWhat you will be doingInstall, configure, manage, and troubleshoot physical, virtual, and cloud servers per Ntiva and industry best practices.Respond to day-to-day critical issues or requests where advanced expertise or experience is needed.Microsoft 365 migration, configuration, troubleshooting, and high-level administration for new and existing clients.Understand and manage our RMM solution used to remotely support the client and internal servers and workstations.Provide Tier 3 support for escalations and outages, in some cases requiring communications with customers and end users.Maintain client backup solutions for cloud and on-prem infrastructures.Monitoring of alerting and identifying trends - perform root cause analysis to resolve the problem.Participate in the development and design of client support efforts and systems.Design, build, and maintain automated processes for various tasks.Employ good communication and documentation habits.Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by managementYou'll be successful in this role if you bringAt least 5+ years of hands-on IT MSP or other relevant experience.Keen ability to troubleshoot IT issues and dedication to follow an issue to resolution.A willingness and commitment to learn new things and grow new skill sets.Critical thinking and creative problem solving.Ability to efficiently multitask and independently complete projects and tasks.Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal.Must be highly focused on customer service.Extreme attention to detail, a passion for accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.Discretion and confidentiality when required.Self-motivated with a positive attitude.Effectively handle deadline pressures and manage conflicting priorities.Excellent judgment and situational awareness.Hands-on experience configuring and administering Microsoft 365 environments.Experience managing Entra ID and Active Directory synchronization, including identity and access troubleshooting.Strong working knowledge of Exchange Online administration, mail flow, and issue resolution.Experience administering and supporting SharePoint Online and OneDrive environments.Proficiency supporting and administering Microsoft Teams, including configuration and troubleshooting.Experience with Microsoft Intune for device, application, and policy management.Knowledge of Windows Autopilot deployment, provisioning, and troubleshooting.PowerShell scripting experience and an automation-focused mindset; broader automation experience is preferred.Bonus points forExperience deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to strengthen endpoint security and threat response.Experience administering Microsoft Defender for Office 365, including email protection, anti-phishing, and threat investigation capabilities.Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, including data loss prevention, retention policies, and sensitivity labels.Experience designing and implementing Conditional Access policies that balance security requirements with user access needs.Hands-on experience supporting and administering Microsoft Azure cloud environments.Benefits and PerksMedical, dental and vision coverage for employee and family401k + company-matched contributions 4% match on 5% contribution - no vesting period!
