Shipper / ReceiverThe Shipper / Receiver is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all products that are received and/or shipped out of a specific location during the assigned shift.During their shift, Shipper/ Receivers work together in three main functions of the department: receiving, inventory control and cooler operations and shipping. They will work to company guidelines with respect to quality control, safety, and standard operating procedures to execute an accurate and on-time shipping function under the direction of shipping operations leadership.This position reports to the Shipping & Receiving Manager in charge of a given shift (AM, MID, PM) in Boston.Assist with the flow of goods; shipping and receiving of productObtain and process product ordersReceive, register and distributing packages and letters within the companyMaintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging itemsAssist with large shipments and planning of the logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming itemsKeep files of goods shipped and receivedEnsure that the right products are delivered to that right location, on timeAssist with the assurance that quality, quantity, and customer satisfaction are metResponsible for the cleanliness and organization of coolers and warehouse ordersTracking and reporting to leadership: back-orders short-list items, and unfulfilled orders1+ years, experience in a Shipping or Receiving position1+ years, experience operating forkliftsExperience in food manufacturing; seafood or meat processing a plusFork-Lift Certification requiredAble to operate company inventory equipment (such as scan guns), requiredAbility to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentAble to provide support to department managers to achieve goalsAble to maintain an environment that drives performance and a safe workplaceMust be able to lift 30-50 poundsWork up to a 10-hour workday: standing/walking most of the dayHand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pullingWork requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reachingExposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicalsExposure to temperatures: <32 degrees FahrenheitAbility to work in wet and dry conditionsAbility to work Monday-Friday, weekends when neededAbility to use tools and equipment, including knivesNorth Coast Seafoods is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against otherwise qualified applicants on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, age, sex, marital status, national origin, disability or handicap, or veteran status.At North Coast, employees are considered part of a family where everyone works together to ensure the founding mission and values of the company are upheld every day.
