Histotechnologist PRN Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center

We are seeking a Histotechnologist PRN for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? As a Histologist at our facility you will be an integral part of our Laboratory team. We are a highly functioning team that supports many different departments and has a passion for providing the best patient care through compassionate, professional interactions and reliable testing. In this role:

• You will file, locate, log, retrieve, and deliver pathology specimens/reports.
• You will perform standard histology procedures for embedding, cutting, mounting, and staining tissue for analysis.
• You will provide the pathologist with well stained microscopic slides of surgical sections and perform any necessary procedures for microscopic diagnosis
• You will perform specialized testing as assigned.
• You will assist in instructing other personnel as assigned.
• You will assure that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times.

Qualifications:

• Certified as a Histotechnician from an accredited school.
• Histologist Certification from ASCP.
• 2 years of Histology experience preferred.
• Must have good verbal and written skills and good computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
