Registered Nurse (RN) Per Diem - ED

Job Description Summary Registered Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager. Provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. Responsibilities Deliver safe and effective patient care in accordance with nursing standards. Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement patient care plans. Work one of the following areas: Med Surg/Tele, Emergency Department, Neurology & Critical Care. Work at least one weekend or night shift per 6‑week schedule. Serve on two holidays per year (one major, one minor). Designate shift availability at least 14 days prior to assignment. Notify supervisor of absence at least 4 hours prior to shift start. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Current South Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Benefits Per diem employees are ineligible to participate in health, disability, and flexible spending accounts; do not accrue paid‑time‑off or holiday benefits. Additional Information Per diem employees may be called to fill vacant shifts after full‑time and part‑time employees have been scheduled. Hours are not guaranteed. Employees must provide reasonable notice and may be called off first if not needed. Employees who have completed a minimum of six months of service in good standing may apply for full‑time status. Employment Status Employee type: PRN (Per Diem). Scheduled weekly hours: 12 (rotating shifts). Pay rate: Hourly, Tier III ($47) commit 4‑12‑hour shifts per 6‑week schedule; Tier IV ($50) commit 5‑12‑hour shifts per 6‑week schedule.
