Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IMC/PCU Step-Down position at an acute care hospital in Sylva, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU or step-down experience and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 86-bed acute care facility with service lines including orthopedics, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, and emergency medicine
• PCU/Intermediate Care (Step-Down) unit, currently combined with the ICU
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 12-bed unit
• GE monitors (B450, B650) used for patient monitoring
• EMR: Paragon
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• AHA certifications required (e.g., BLS)
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, intermediate care, or step-down RN experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Sylva, NC is a scenic small town at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains, known for its vibrant Main Street, local breweries, and proximity to the Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail
