Senior Platform Engineer

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex challenges in a remote, innovative environment. \n Accountabilities: The Senior Platform Engineer will own the design, reliability, scalability, and security of production infrastructure while helping engineering teams improve development velocity. This role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence platform strategy across the organization. Design, build, and automate software development lifecycle processes and infrastructure solutions. Own the health, scalability, security, and performance of production systems. Lead incident response activities, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements. Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to improve system reliability. Troubleshoot complex issues related to application performance, scalability, infrastructure, and security. Define technical direction and contribute to architectural decisions for platform systems. Collaborate with engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and efficient platform capabilities. Mentor engineers on infrastructure best practices, operational excellence, and secure system design. Improve internal tooling, processes, and standards to increase engineering productivity. Participate in and help evolve on-call processes, incident management, and change management practices. Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code projects and reusable cloud infrastructure patterns. Support internal development tools, workflows, and production environments. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have strong experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering, with a proven ability to manage production systems at scale. Success in this role requires deep cloud expertise, automation skills, technical leadership, and a commitment to building reliable engineering foundations. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. 5–7+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar role with direct ownership of production systems. Strong programming experience in at least one modern language such as Golang, Java, Python, Ruby, or Rust. Proven experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure and related services supporting large-scale CI/CD environments. Deep experience with Docker and containerization technologies in production. Experience participating in and leading on-call rotations and resolving production incidents. Experience developing and improving change management and incident response processes. Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK. Ability to design secure, reusable, and scalable infrastructure patterns. Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions across teams. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex technical challenges. Familiarity with Rust and its ecosystem is a plus. Experience designing CI/CD systems across multiple accounts and regions is preferred. Experience with package management strategies and cross-team infrastructure initiatives is a plus.
