Cardiology Physician

A locum tenens opportunity is available for a cardiologist at a hospital-based practice in Gettysburg, PA. In this role, you will handle a blend of hospital consults, TEE, Echo, and Nuclear Testing along with call duties. The schedule features distinct weeks for call and clinic responsibilities, providing a balanced approach to patient care.

Key Details - Assignment Type: Locum Tenens- Setting: Hospital- Start Date: ASAP- Schedule: One week of call Monday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM, followed by one week in clinic Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM- Patient Population: Adult- Location: Gettysburg, PA

Job Responsibilities - Perform hospital consults and manage patient care during call weeks- Conduct outpatient services during clinic weeks, seeing an average of 18 patients per day- Carry out special procedures including TEE, Echo, and Nuclear Testing- Collaborate with office medical assistants as part of the support staff

Qualifications - Must be Board Eligible in Cardiology- Valid medical license required- DEA registration required- Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred

Working Hours - Weekly rotation between call and clinic schedule- Call: 24-hour coverage from Monday 7:00 AM to the following Monday 7:00 AM- Clinic: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills - Proficiency in performing and interpreting TEE, Echo, and Nuclear Tests- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work collaboratively with medical assistants and other healthcare providers
