Night Shift Nurse (LPN or RN) | Full-Time | Calhoun County Jail

Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Calhoun County Jail. This full-time night shift opportunity allows you to utilize your clinical skills, exercise critical thinking, and provide essential healthcare services to a patient population that depends on compassionate, professional care.

What You'll Do

As a member of our healthcare team, you'll play a vital role in delivering quality patient care throughout the facility. Responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and treatments
• Conducting patient assessments and sick call evaluations
• Monitoring chronic and acute medical conditions
• Responding to urgent and emergent healthcare needs
• Collaborating with providers and fellow healthcare professionals
• Maintaining accurate medical documentation
• Supporting patient education and wellness initiatives
• Promoting safe, ethical, and professional nursing care

Qualifications

• Active Alabama LPN or RN license
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Correctional, emergency, long-term care, medical-surgical, or behavioral health experience is a plus but not required

Schedule

• Full-Time Position
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Rotating schedule with every-other-weekend rotation
• Built-in weekdays off throughout the schedule
