Field Mechanic

Field MechanicWe are looking for a talented Field Mechanic who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all types of wire pulling and stringing equipment, heavy equipment, trailers, and vehicles used for electrical construction projects throughout the region.What You'll DoDiagnose, inspect and repair diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, compressors, generators, suspensions, brakes, transmissions, fuel injection systems, ignition systems and air toolsReplace and repair damaged componentsPerform engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, oil changes and maintenance checks and all equipmentTroubleshoot, maintain, and repairing all types of heavy equipment, trailers, aerial lift platforms, bulldozer, bucket trucksAnnual DOT and Crane InspectionsPerform vehicle preventative maintenanceExtensive travel requiredWhat You'll Bring2-4 years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment (wheeled and tracked) or trucksAbility to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and diagramsStrong welding (Stick/MIG) and fabrication skillsMust possess a valid class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Basic understanding of DOT RegulationsBasic understanding of iPhones, iPads and computersGood organizational and recordkeeping skillsAbility to travel to job sites throughout Michigan and provide mechanical oversight to equipment on numerous projects throughout a geographical areaProficient in the use of diagnostic and testing equipmentCustomer service skillsHigh School graduate.Must possess a valid class A Commercial Drive License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one.Ability to travel to job sites and provide mechanical oversight to equipment on numerous projects throughout the region.What You'll Get401(k) with company match (Traditional & Roth)Paid Holidays and PTOMedical, Dental, and VisionFlexible Spending AccountsHealth Savings AccountAccident InsuranceHospital Indemnity InsuranceCritical Illness InsuranceLifelock Identity Theft ProtectionEmployee DiscountsShort-Term & Long-Term Disability
