Physical Therapist (Per Diem)

Responsibilities Our Med‑Surg Physical Therapists fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by providing Physical Therapy services in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. They serve as functional mobility and rehabilitation experts and are key stakeholders in functional recovery and interdisciplinary discharge planning. Physical Therapists at GW Hospital are essential partners with providers, nurses, social workers, respiratory therapists, and ancillary and support staff in an academic medical center, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center. They work alongside other healthcare professionals to enhance patients' functional recovery, facilitate successful discharges, and elevate patient care through unit and system‑based quality initiatives, evidence‑based research and practice, and interdisciplinary care.
