The Lead HVAC Tech plays a critical role in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of residential and commercial HVAC systems. This position leads a small team of 1-3 technicians, ensuring high standards of customer service, safety, and technical excellence. The Lead HVAC Tech acts as the primary point of communication with customers and is responsible for thorough equipment inspections and effective team coordination.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues to ensure efficient system operation
- Lead and manage a team of 1-3 HVAC technicians
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needs
- Conduct detailed inspections of HVAC equipment to identify potential issues
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the HVAC field
- EPA Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years in the HVAC field is preferred
- Technical certification in HVAC
- Expertise in HVAC system diagnostics and preventive maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to HVAC
- Strong team leadership and customer service skills
- Familiarity with safety procedures and technical documentation
- Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
