Valet Attendant-(Englewood Hospital)

SUMMARY Guest Service Associate responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely, assisting guests with luggage, delivering messages, and providing information about the facility and surrounding area. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients (25%). Uses salutation of the day, welcomes guests, practices proper phone etiquette, and posts up in designated areas (10%). Parks and retrieves vehicles, assists guests with bell services and luggage storage, opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests (20%). Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, and local attractions (10%). Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues and collects claim checks; maintains ticket information and calculates revenue when needed (35%). QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license for the state of employment. Minimum one month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of customer and personal service principles. Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and ability to use manual transmissions and perform parallel parking. Effective written and verbal communication skills in standard English and ability to present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings. COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE Hourly base pay of $17 per hour plus tips. Work schedule: Monday–Thursday 12:30pm–9pm; Saturday 9am–5:30pm.
