Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Houston, Texas
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day shift, 8 AM - 5 PM
Job Description: The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate speech/language and swallowing abilities of patients with impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in health status. The role involves synthesizing data to establish a plan of care that incorporates evidence-based practice interventions and goals tailored to the patient's age and development. The selected candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement and assess the intervention program.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations of speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement tailored plans of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to execute intervention programs.
- Utilize evidence-based practices in treatment plans.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
- Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Neonatal experience is required.
- Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Study is required.
- Pediatric and adult experience are preferred.
