Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Ensure patient safety, maintain sterile environments, and support surgical teams throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition pre-operatively and prepare them for surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment and assist surgeons during procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
• Document surgical interventions and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation badge compliance and infection control.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Possess at least 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Be capable of floating between units and facilities as needed.
• Comply with radiation badge requirements and lab completion timelines.
• Demonstrate excellent patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
