IMMEDIATE NEED / URGENT BACKFILL

CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT:

• Must be flexible to work at other nearby offices as needed.
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Assistant experience required.
• Previous travel experience highly preferred.
• Previous Cardiology experience highly preferred.
• AAMA or equivalent certification required.
• Active AHA BLS required.
• Must work well as part of a team and remain flexible.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform blood draws, injections, immunizations, lab testing, and other procedures within MA scope.
• Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs.
• Prepare examination rooms and keep rooms clean and stocked.
• Assist patients with rooming, preparation, and movement throughout the visit.
• Make and return patient phone calls as directed by the provider.
• Provide patient instructions as directed by the provider.
• Assist with medical records, referrals, lab slips, and other documentation.
• Requisition supplies and help maintain adequate inventory.
• Assist with nursing procedures as directed by the provider.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Medical Assistant skills checklist required.
• 1 supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment.
• Active AHA BLS – documentation required.
• License verification required.
• AAMA or equivalent certification must be in hand and uploaded.
• All licenses and certifications must be current at submission.
• Permanent address must be included with submission.
• RTO must be included at submission.
