The Programming Engineer is responsible for programming production equipment to ensure efficient, accurate, and quality manufacturing of parts. This role collaborates closely with operations, engineering, and sales teams to support new and existing development. The Programming Engineer plays a key role in ensuring programs are optimized for performance and aligned with production goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

· 5+ years of experience in a directly relatable field

· Substantial experience with sheet metal processes and equipment

PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVES:

· Program production machinery including lasers, brakes, punches, and other CNC-controlled equipment

· Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop processes for new and complex parts

· Review part drawings and customer requirements to determine optimal programming solutions

· Support the transition of new parts from prototype to production through programming and validation

· Maintain organized programming files and documentation for repeatability and traceability

· Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and refine programs for efficiency and quality

· Adjust programs based on material changes, tooling, or production feedback

· Ensure all programs meet safety, quality, and productivity standards

· Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align programming with production and customer needs

· Contribute to process improvement efforts related to programming, setup, and run-time optimization

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety protocols

SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS:

· Strong understanding of CNC programming and manufacturing processes

· Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and machine capabilities

· Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments

· Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

· Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt

· Positive attitude, professionalism, and a team-focused approach
