Senior Estimator

job summary:
Our client is seeking a full-time Senior Estimator in the Greater Chicago Area to join their rapidly growing team. In this role, you will analyze project plans, technical specifications, and customer requirements to generate highly accurate cost estimates and material takeoffs for industrial wire mesh partition systems. You will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and production teams to drive competitive bids, secure strategic project margins, and support business expansion.

responsibilities:

• Analyze detailed blueprints, structural shop drawings, and project specifications to perform precise material takeoffs and labor assumptions.

• Formulate competitive quotes and comprehensive cost estimates for standard and custom wire mesh partition systems across multiple industries.

• Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, production, and executive leadership to clarify project scopes, establish pricing structures, and track estimates throughout their lifecycle.

• Communicate directly with customers and vendors to clarify technical specifications, obtain vendor pricing, and align bids with strict project timelines.

• Maintain and systematically update pricing structures, cost databases, and historical estimation spreadsheets to ensure optimal company margins.
