What Your Role Involves

• Performing detailed patient assessments, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently as credentials allow
• Educating patients and families on wellness strategies, preventative measures, and chronic illness management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in accordance with your practice scope
• Involving yourself with patient follow-ups and chronic care management strategies

• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Credentials

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners

Essential Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure for the state of Nevada
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or applicable specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capability to obtain these within 90 days)
