Registered Respiratory Therapist - PRN

Under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Manager, you will provide high-quality respiratory and cardiopulmonary services throughout the hospital, including critical care areas. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, patients, and families to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective care.

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
• Assess patient conditions, prioritize treatments, and respond promptly to complications
• Safely administer respiratory treatments and medications; monitor and report effects and side effects
• Accurately document care and medications in the MAR and medical record
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and respiratory health
• Communicate changes in patient status to physicians, supervisors, and care teams
• Demonstrate expert use of cardiopulmonary and respiratory equipment
• Participate in departmental quality standards, training, and continuing education
• Plan and coordinate workflow to ensure timely, efficient patient care
• Maintain a strong focus on patient and staff safety

• Minimum: 2 shifts per month
• Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday per year

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State of Colorado
• NBRC registration or certification preferred

• BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

• PALS (American Heart Association)

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care, emergency, or ICU experience
• Experience with a variety of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment
