This role could be located in New York, Dallas, Chicago and there is potential for other select locations./ppResponsibilities:/pulliIndependently structures basic issue analyses contributes to hypothesis generation/liliBuilds analytical tools and financial analyses that show a proper understanding of competing needs (timing, flexibility, detail, risk) with limited direction/liliIdentifies and articulates opportunities for more advanced analytic approaches outside of basic Excel/liliDrafts client ready data requests/liliManages administrative and organizational matters of engagement/liliAssembles reports, graphs, and tables with limited guidance/liliPresents work, as required, both internally and to clients/liliInterfaces directly with more senior clients to gather data and develop analyses in areas of responsibility/liliDemonstrates a basic understanding of credit agreement terms/liliCalculates covenant compliance/liliApplies common restructuring concepts apply to distressed situations/liliBeginning to identify potential issues related to complex accounting or financial concepts (taxes, impairments, pensions, currencies, etc./liliPrepares high level valuation, with guidance/liliUnderstands common bankruptcy terms and key provisions of the code/liliUnderstands principles of chapter 11, POR, and 363 sale/liliUnderstands key activities of bankruptcy preparation/liliMentors Associates when appropriate including review of work product and recommendations for improvements/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a top tier restructuring consulting firm/liliAn undergraduate degree from a top academic institution with a strong GPA/liliAdvanced degree(s) and applicable professional certification(s) are preferred (CFA, CIRA, CPA)/liliRestructuring experience required/liliExperience with financial modeling including 3 statement analysis and 13-week cash flow models/liliAbility and willingness to undertake extensive travel is required/liliWillingness to work at times, long hours during the week and on weekends due to client demands may be necessary/liliExperience with analytical tools and financial analyses that show a proper understanding of competing needs (timing, flexibility, detail, risk) with limited direction/liliIdentifies and articulates opportunities for more advanced analytic approaches outside of basic Excel/liliDemonstrates ability to contribute to identification of key issues/liliAble to understand concepts of data patterns and trends/liliExhibits critical thinking and problem-solving capability/liliDemonstrates ability to synthesize analysis and draw conclusions/li/ulpFor individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Ankura, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role.
