Job Description
The Box Truck OTR role involves managing long-distance trucking operations with a focus on timely and safe delivery of cargo. This position requires overseeing all aspects of trucking from vehicle inspection and maintenance to cargo handling and compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform long-haul driving to transport goods efficiently and safely
- Load and secure cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure operational safety
- Navigate routes to optimize delivery times and fuel usage
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and report issues promptly
