Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized perioperative care to surgical patients, ensuring their safety and well-being before, during, and after procedures. Collaborates closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality nursing support in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room.
• Assist in surgeries as a circulating or scrub nurse by preparing instruments and maintaining sterile techniques.
• Recognize and respond promptly to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative procedures and post-surgical care.
• Supervise and support assigned team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Washington State or MultiState RN license.
• Possess a valid American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
• Have ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate previous experience in operating room and recovery room nursing preferred.
• Show strong assessment skills and ability to recognize complications.
• Exhibit excellent teamwork and communication skills.
