Project Financial Analyst I Job Responsibilities Supports the Business Unit Controller in recording revenue each month for Units, Fee for Service and Fixed Price contracts. Loads project budgets into Oracle/Revenue Wizard and maintains key member lists (project set up) and other project data in Oracle and associated systems. Drafts project level actual versus budget/forecast variance analysis and monthly reports, and analyzes monthly results. Drafts monthly forecasting of financial results (backlog). Meets established deadlines for revenue and backlog submittals. Prepares project close‑out reconciliations in a timely manner. Reviews, with assistance, executed Work Orders and Change Orders for bonus or other anomalies. Works closely with the Business Unit Controller to capture, assess and consolidate results. Drafts key reports such as annual cost and expense budgets, cost rates, cost and expense forecasting, monthly utilization, headcount, revenue‑backlog analysis, and/or gross profit for an assigned area. Updates predefined reports. Attends project meetings as applicable to support assigned areas, including kick‑off meetings to capture and process data for new projects and monthly project review meetings to ensure understanding of project status, potential issues and forecast accuracy. Monitors the overall health of assigned projects, including revenues, gross profit, receivables, unbilled amounts, project close‑outs and reconciliations. Qualifications 4‑year BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education and experience. Zero to two (0‑2) years of related experience. Pharmaceutical or CRO experience preferred. Strong English proficiency and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential. Proficiency with accounting software packages. Experience with Oracle Finance preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organization, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Excellent financial, communication, and interpersonal skills and a high level of personal motivation to achieve. Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive data. Physical Requirements Occasional movement inside the office to access filing cabinets, office equipment, etc.; movement between office locations; maintenance of a stationary position for prolonged periods; occasional manipulation of office items and packages of light to medium weights (10‑35 pounds); constant operation of a computer and office productivity equipment; perception and assessment of written materials for prolonged periods; frequent communication with colleagues by phone, email, and in‑person. Work Environment This role operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level is low and this is a largely sedentary role.
