Compensation: $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description

Addison Group is seeking a Staff Accountant for a opportunity with a growing multi-location organization. This role will support key accounting functions, assist with month-end close activities, and provide audit support during a critical reporting period. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting

• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support revenue recognition and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
• Assist with inventory-related accounting and cost analysis activities.
• Support fixed asset accounting, including tracking and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Audit Support

• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Gather, organize, and review requested materials for audit testing.
• Assist with financial statement support and supplemental schedules.
• Research and respond to auditor inquiries in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Help ensure timely completion of audit-related requests and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience supporting external audits strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting accounting operations for multi-location organizations.
• Exposure to inventory accounting and cost accounting.
• Prior public accounting or audit experience.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
