The nurse will work a 3x12 hour day shift schedule. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3. This position requires ICU-level nursing experience. Candidates must be first-time travelers. Floating within skill set is required. Nurses will care for adults and geriatric patients. Daily census for this unit is approximately 280 patients. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patient diagnoses include sepsis, myocardial infarction, stroke, COVID-19, congestive heart failure, and open heart recovery. Special procedures include intubation and extubation, among others. Nurses must be skilled in various medical procedures, including blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and telemetry monitoring. References are required prior to the start date. All requests for time off must be submitted upfront. Inflexibility with schedule may lead to contract termination. Candidates should not contact facility staff directly without prior communication.
