JOB PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY): As a premier global investment organization the Client Bank Loan Team offers a full product line of investment options to both institutional and retail investors. This opportunity with the Bank Loan Oversight and Administration Team will provide support to the portfolio management and investment team covering various reporting areas, trade support and settlement efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Responsible for the production of various scheduled reporting deliverables for internal clients, including, but not limited, to the investment team, reporting team members, legal & compliance.

Ability to work as part of a team to ensure the group provides top-tier service to both internal and external clients and service providers.
o Work in support of the trader to ensure that all trading activity is being efficiently and accurately entered in a timely manner in support of ISSMs products.
o Collectively work with the trade closing team to assist in the coordination and facilitation of settlement efforts. Liaison with Client traders, trade counter parties and agent banks.

Support the team to ensure and maintain the data quality and integrity of the critical information that supports the business. Complete data mining, from a variety of internal & external sources, and analysis for Bank Loan clients.

WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:
2 years work experience preferred
Familiarity and experience with bonds and bond settlements is desired
A solid understanding of the security/loan market (LMA) and fund operations is desired
Experience in a reporting / product oversight role is plus
Experience in the investment management space is a plus

Bachelor s Degree required, business (Finance/Accounting) degree preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.
Normally a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.
Hours may include evenings and/or weekends if necessary.

CRITICAL DISTINCTION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

The most common miss we are seeing is candidates from commercial or retail banking whose experience centers around mortgage loans, SBA loans, consumer lending, or general commercial loan processing. THIS IS NOT THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
"Bank Loan" in this context refers specifically to the BANK LOAN ASSET CLASS - a distinct segment of the capital markets that includes syndicated leveraged loans, CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation) administration, and structured credit operations. Experience in residential mortgage, auto lending, SBA, or general commercial banking loan processing does not transfer to this role and will not be considered.
Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with the bank loan asset class as an INVESTMENT PRODUCT, not as a lending function.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

STRONG profile indicators:
Experience at a fund administrator, asset manager, CLO manager, institutional bank, or structured credit firm supporting bank loan / syndicated loan portfolios
Hands-on use of Wall Street Office (WSO) / Allvue-Everest, ClearPar, LoanIQ, Solvas, or equivalent loan management systems in an INVESTMENT OPERATIONS or TRUST OPERATIONS context
Trade settlement and trade support - coordinating with agent banks, trade counterparties, and internal trading desks
CLO or CDO portfolio administration - OC/IC compliance testing, waterfall calculations, interest/principal distributions, cash reconciliation
Reporting and data analysis - production of scheduled reporting deliverables for investment teams, legal & compliance, and external clients
Data quality and integrity management across loan portfolios
Experience supporting business integration, system transitions, or operational build-outs - data comparison, report generation, process documentation

BNY Mellon (Corporate Trust / CLO Admin), Alter Domus, State Street, Northern Trust (Investor Services), U.S. Bank Corporate Trust, JP Morgan (Syndicated Finance / Agency), BMO (Syndicated Loans), Antares Capital, Monroe Capital, Barclays (Loan Agency), S&P Global (WSO Operations), FIS (Structured Finance Reporting)
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required, Finance or Accounting preferred.
LOCATION: Downers Grove, IL - local candidates or those within commuting distance are strongly preferred.

In addition to the core bank loan operations profile, the hiring manager has indicated openness to candidates who bring strong DATA, REPORTING, AND OPERATIONAL TRANSITION skills to support a business integration effort currently underway. If you have candidates whose background includes:
Structured finance or investment operations reporting and analytics
Data comparison, reconciliation, and validation across systems
Report generation and scheduled deliverable production
Operational process documentation and transition support
Experience supporting system conversions or platform migrations in a financial services context
...these candidates are worth presenting alongside their bank loan operations experience.
