Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified professional with NICU and PICU experience for a 13-week contract. The shift will be during the night, working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This role requires rotating weekends and offers an immediate start date.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in NICU and PICU settings is required.
• Certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) are mandatory.
• Must hold a valid Illinois nursing license.
• Experience working with a patient ratio consistent with unit standards.
• Less than 2 years of relevant experience may be accepted.
• All allied positions require state or national certification and/or license.

Additional Information

• Open to local candidates.
• Candidates must submit their Nursys report when applying (must be pulled within the last 2 weeks).
• No license infractions will be accepted.
• Previous permanent staff from specific locations must have a gap of at least 7 months before returning as a traveler.

Modules and Orientation

Modules are non-billable and may take an average of 8 hours to complete, with some specialties requiring 15-20 hours. These modules may be done remotely or during orientation and must be completed annually. Specific details regarding module completion for RRT (Respiratory Therapy) and OR (Operating Room) will be provided during the onboarding process.

Work Schedule

Expect rotations that include weekends, and please note that requests for time off should not exceed three days and cannot include the first or last week of the contract.
