Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a high-volume, trauma referral center. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Assist and maintain sterile environments during surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
• Document all surgical activities and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and support recovery processes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid license as a Registered Nurse.
• Possess current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate at least one year of perioperative nursing experience.
• Familiarity with surgical protocols across various specialties such as orthopedics, vascular, thoracic, and urology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility in shift scheduling.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
