Service Center Manager

Service Manager Sapp Bros. is looking for a Service Manager to lead our shop in Salt Lake City. We’re looking for someone who has hands-on experience working on heavy equipment and knows what it takes to keep a service shop running. This is a working leadership role. You’ll be leading the day-to-day operation of the shop, helping our mechanics solve problems, and most importantly, training and developing our team so they can continue to grow and get to the next level. What You’ll Do: Run the day-to-day operations of the service shop. Lead, train, and develop our mechanics and help them improve their skills. Use your heavy equipment experience to help diagnose problems and support the team when needed. Work alongside the mechanics and jump in when the shop needs an extra hand. Operate the service truck when needed. Make sure repairs are done safely, correctly, and on time. Help manage service sales and keep the shop running profitably. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop. Work directly with customers and help resolve any service concerns. Help build a strong team and a shop environment where people want to work and grow. What We’re Looking For: We need someone who knows heavy equipment , understands the service business, and can lead a team. You don’t have to sit behind a desk all day we want a manager who is comfortable being in the shop, working with the mechanics, and helping when needed. If you’re an experienced heavy equipment mechanic who is ready to take the next step, or an experienced Service Manager looking for a new opportunity, we’d like to hear from you. Come help us build a great team and take our service department to the next level. What You Bring: 3+ years of service management in heavy equipment or diesel repair. Leadership skills to inspire and manage a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills to manage shop operations and customer service. A safety-first mindset and experience enforcing safety protocols. Flexible availability to keep the service department running smoothly during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
