Direct Support ProfessionalSecond Family Nursing Services (SFNS) provides compassionate, person-centered care to individuals who need support to live safely and comfortably in their homes and communities. Our team is dedicated to enhancing quality of life through respect, dignity, and individualized attention.The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides hands-on support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, medical needs, or daily living assistance. This role is key in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and fostering meaningful connections.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct care and supervision to individuals in their home or community settingsAssist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication reminders, and mobility supportEncourage and support individual goals to build independence and life skillsImplement care plans and follow instructions from nursing staff or supervisorsMaintain a safe, clean, and positive environmentDocument services provided and report any changes in condition or concerns to the care teamParticipate in team meetings and ongoing training to ensure high-quality careQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in caregiving, home health, or direct support preferred but not required (training provided)Ability to lift, transfer, or assist individuals as neededReliable transportation and valid driver's license (if required by assignment)Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanorSchedule and LocationFlexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and overnightsOpportunities available across [insert service areas/regions]Why Join SFNSCompetitive pay with opportunities for overtimeOngoing training and professional developmentSupportive team environment with growth potentialThe rewarding experience of making a difference every day
