Assistant Technical Manager

Our solutions are successful and we service our customers by providing beneficial support in the form of comprehensive design review and technical advice during construction. We currently have an opening for our Mountain Regional office, located in Stafford, TX. We are looking for an energetic individual. With a 2 – 4 year degree in an engineering, construction, or building design related field, or a minimum of 3 years related work experience with single-ply applications, with the drive to learn advance in the industry and the ability to grow The candidate will be responsible for the coordination of project specific information, assisting the Regional Technical Manager communication of Sika Sarnafil’s requirements and dissemination of technical information to our contractor, specifiers, owner, and consultant customers, as well as our sales and field technical staff This position also handles administration duties required for successful project completion. Some overnight travel will be required on occasion. This position reports to the Regional Technical Manager. The duties will include: - Answer telephone calls and provide technical and sales information to contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, owners and Sarnafil sales and technical staff - Set up and maintain project specific files and database, and verify accuracy of submitted information as required - Assist in the warranty issuing procedure - Handle general correspondence relating to specific projects - Assist Technical Manager with a variety of tasks pertaining to technical dept. duties - Job site visits and field investigations as required - Assist field technical representatives as needed - Follow safety procedures and regulations and company environmental policy - Other duties as assigned You need to have: - 2 year Associates or 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in preferably engineering, construction or building design - 3 -5 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry, preferably with singe-ply applications - Computer literate (Windows Applications with strong Word, Excel and database software skills) - CAD experience strongly desired We are looking for the following skills: - Good communication and customer service skills - Highly organized and detail-oriented - Friendly personality with good follow up skills - Professional telephone manner - Teamwork attitude, flexibility a must - Ability to work outside - Capable of being in heights and climbing ladders - Able to handle multiple tasks - Valid driver license - Willingness to travel in the territory with some overnight stay
