Instrumentation Coordinator Sterile Processing

Schedule

2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM11:30 PM; occasional holiday coverage required.

Assignment Details

Orientation: 40 hours; potential for floating between multiple locations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of sterile processing/reprocessing experience
• Trauma experience preferred (Level I trauma experience is ideal)
• Required certification: CRCST or CSPDT
• Experience with high-level disinfection and automated endoscope reprocessor required
• Knowledge of sterilization processes and instrument/tray assembly
• Preferred system experience: Epic (charting preferred)

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, instrument assembly, and sterilization of medical instruments
• Maintenance of sterile storage and compliance with sterilization monitoring/testing
• Liaison between operating room and sterile processing
• Standardization of trays and instrumentation
• Enterprise-wide tracking of instruments
