Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced RN specializing in Med Surg for a rewarding travel assignment in San Marcos, TX. This role involves working in the Acute Med/Surg department, where you will provide care for a diverse patient population including Ortho, colorectal, urology, sepsis, SBO, and geriatric gyno cases. The ideal candidate will effectively practice independently, managing both routine and complex care situations.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side-effects, and document patient history
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on learning needs and available resources

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA only)
• RN License in the state of TX or compact
