About the Position

Job Title

Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse

Columbia, MO

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a primary Labor & Delivery setting with an average of 130 births per month
• Support postpartum patients across a 24-bed unit as needed
• Administer delivery medications and narcotics in accordance with facility protocols
• Perform IV insertion and manage line care throughout patient stay
• Circulate in OB/OR procedures as required
• Provide couplet care for mother and newborn in the postpartum setting

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
• Proficiency in IV insertion
• Ability to circulate in OB/OR procedures
• Competency in couplet care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Postpartum nursing experience in addition to Labor & Delivery background
• Familiarity with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 in L&D and up to 1:7 in postpartum environments
