Automotive Technician – Lube & Tire | $25–$35/Hour | Monday–Friday Half Moon Bay Auto Repair Location: Half Moon Bay, CA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience Pay Type: Hourly, not flat rate Typical Flagged Hours: Approximately 20–30 per week Half Moon Bay Auto Repair is seeking a full-time Automotive Technician – Lube & Tire in Half Moon Bay, CA. This position pays $25–$35 per hour based on experience and is hourly, not flat rate. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The shop offers steady work in a busy, established repair environment, paid ASE certifications, and opportunities to build skills and grow into more advanced automotive repair and diagnostics. Key Responsibilities Perform oil changes and preventive maintenance services Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires Inspect tires and identify tire safety concerns Perform brake inspections and basic brake services Complete vehicle inspections and routine maintenance involving fluids, filters, and belts Identify and communicate additional maintenance or repair needs Assist experienced technicians with larger repairs as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following shop safety and quality standards Qualifications Automotive experience is preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply Experience with oil changes, tires, brakes, or preventive maintenance is a plus Basic hand tools are preferred; shop tools are available Ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy automotive repair shop Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach Commitment to dependable work and quality workmanship Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States Compensation & Benefits $25–$35 per hour, based on experience Hourly pay, not flat rate Approximately 20–30 flagged hours per week PTO, sick leave, and vacation Overtime opportunities Health and retirement benefits Paid ASE certifications Hourly raises for each ASE certification passed Why Work Here Half Moon Bay Auto Repair offers consistent work in a busy, established automotive repair shop with a strong customer base and steady demand.
