Job Title: US Import Trade Compliance Specialist

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 06+ Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension)

Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Pay Range: $33/hr to $35/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented US Import Trade Compliance Specialist to support our global trade operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in U.S. import regulations, customs compliance, and trade documentation, with a proven ability to manage complex import processes accurately and efficiently.

This role requires a hands-on professional with deep knowledge of U.S. Customs procedures, tariff classification, and trade agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform HTS classification for imported goods with high accuracy

Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and procedures

Handle U.S. Customs entry writing and related documentation

Manage and validate USMCA certifications and qualifications

Oversee in-bond transportation processes

Support operations related to Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) and Bonded Warehouses

Ensure accurate Partner Government Agency (PGA) reporting

Review and audit import documentation for compliance risks

Collaborate with internal teams, brokers, and external partners

Utilize internal systems and tools for compliance tracking and reporting

Analyze data and generate reports using Microsoft Excel

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of recent experience (2022–present) in U.S. import trade compliance

Strong expertise in HTS classification

Proven experience with USMCA regulations and certifications

In-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs procedures

Hands-on experience with customs entry writing

Experience with in-bond shipments, FTZ, and bonded warehouse operations

Familiarity with PGA reporting requirements

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite

Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with trade compliance software (e.g., SAP GTS, Oracle GTM)

Data analytics experience

Spanish language proficiency
