Who You Are

• Have 2+ years of applicable legal experience in personal injury, insurance defense, or a related field, or similar
• Hold a J.D. from an accredited law school
• Are an active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (not required but considered an asset)
• Have strong written and verbal communication ability with excellent interpersonal skills and judgement
• Can maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information
• Work efficiently under pressure, handling changes and interruptions while meeting strict deadlines
• Learn new systems quickly and use them effectively and efficiently
• Bring exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with a proven track record of being responsive, meeting deadlines, and delivering measurable outcomes
• Have effective prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Are open to learning and accepting constructive feedback
• Are able to successfully pass a criminal and background record check

How You'll Make a Difference

Reporting to the Managing Partner, you'll manage personal injury claims from intake through the pre-litigation phase, working to resolve cases through negotiation and settlement before a lawsuit is filed. You'll focus on building strong demand packages, negotiating with insurance adjusters, and delivering excellent client service throughout the pre-suit process.

• Manage a caseload of personal injury claims through the pre-litigation phase
• Submit 40 demands per month to insurance carriers for resolution
• Review medical records, bills, and documentation to assess and quantify claim value
• Prepare and send demand letters and settlement packages to insurance carriers
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters to reach favorable settlements for clients
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and manage expectations
• Evaluate cases to determine whether they should proceed to litigation if a fair settlement cannot be reached
• Coordinate with paralegals and case managers to ensure timely file progression
• Track and manage statute of limitations deadlines to ensure timely resolution or filing
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
• Stay current on relevant case law, insurance practices, and negotiation strategies
• Perform other duties as assigned
