Director Underwriting
General Placement Service
General Placement Service is recruiting on behalf of an A+ Rated insurance carrier. They seek to hire an AVP, Underwriting to develop underwriting staff and influence effective underwriting strategy. This career opportunity is with an expanding carrier that features mono‑line Workers Compensation products. In this role you will be an integral part of a company that highly emphasizes culture and employee experience, while striving on innovation.
In this role, you will:
- Implement underwriting strategy
- Develop and manage underwriters
- Drive growth & maintain profitable book of business
- Ensure compliance
Qualifications
- 6+ years of WC underwriting experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree and industry designations are preferred
- Ability to travel
