In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment, where employees are protected from accidents and injuries. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a variety of programs and activities that foster a strong culture of safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strongunderstanding of health and safety regulations and a proven ability to lead and collaborate with all levels of the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement health and safety initiatives to foster a safe and productive work environment.Conduct risk assessments and regular inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees.Investigate all incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.Partner with managers and department heads to promote safety within their teams.Communicate effectively about safety initiatives through various channels.Foster a culture of safety and accountability throughout the organization.Track key metrics (e.g., incident rates, near-miss reports) to evaluate the effectiveness of safety initiatives, analyze data, and develop improvement strategies.Research and benchmark best practices in workplace safety to continuously improve our programs.Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - 100% in officeCompetitive compensation package will be discussed during the interview process.Qualifications2-5 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on safety.Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field is preferred but not required.Proven ability to design and implement successful safety programs.Strong knowledge of various employment laws and safety regulations, including OSHA.Strong project management and planning skills.Ability to collect and interpret data to demonstrate the effectiveness of safety programs.Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources and medical information.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Our Commitment to YouAt Bergstrom Automotive, we value our team members and are dedicated to providing a supportive and rewarding workplace.
