Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Operating Room (OR) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience in various surgical procedures, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and expertise in the operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, including the setup of necessary instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate efficient and effective surgical care.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions during procedures, responding promptly to any changes.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately in compliance with institutional policies.
• Support patient recovery and education post-surgery as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Operating Room nursing role.
• Current active nursing license in Arkansas or a compact state.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.

Schedule

This position requires a full-time commitment with day shifts scheduled from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. On-call duties will be expected, typically including one weekend and one weekday, based on staffing needs.

Case Experience

The OR experience required includes but is not limited to the following:

• Ortho: total shoulder surgeries, knee arthroscopies, and total knee procedures.
• OB/GYN procedures.
• Plastic surgeries including breast reconstruction.
• Urology surgeries.
• Robotic surgeries, primarily in GYN.
