These challenges are also opportunities, and whether our customers are in construction, protective packaging, cold-chain or other industries, we are relentless in seeing around corners and going the extra mile to help their business succeed.Position: CAD DesignerTravel: This position will require around 25% travelJob SummaryThe CAD Designer is a key member of the Alleguard technical/engineering team and is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by Alleguard customers, engineers, sales and manufacturing representatives, and plays a crucial role in the Alleguard sales and manufacturing process.ResponsibilitiesCreating detailed CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings as per the instructions and specifications provided by customers, sales representatives, manufacturing personnel, and engineers.Revising and updating existing drawings reflecting design changesProvided manufacturing equipment codes based on CAD drawings and equipment software (Shop Cam, G coding) to Alleguard manufacturing facilities.Provide design takeoffs for Alleguard products, including roofing, geotechnical fill materials, and other products using engineering software.Creating and altering construction sketchesFollowing project schedules and deadlinesMaintaining organized work files and project documentationQualificationsProven work experience as a CAD DesignerProficient knowledge of CAD software and other drafting tools and softwareExcellent technical design skillsGood understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methodsAbility to draw manually favorable, but not essentialStrong communication and project management skillsComputer literacy is a must. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in CAD, BIM, SketchUp, Word, and ExcelStrong relationship building skills - must be able to forge positive and productive relationships with internal stakeholders and customersFlexible and adaptable; will be willing to assist with or take on assignments outside of his/her defined role when required.Degree in drafting, engineering, or related fieldBenefitsWe believe in taking care of the people who take care of our customers.
